Hey all, I am Christy and FH is Paul. We got engaged 7/07 and are getting married 2/08. Short engagement, I know and I'm not even pregnant. Just like to make a plan/goal and carry it out (I'm kind of intense, but who isnt) I guess I've been on LIW for a month or two, which has been very time-consuming/interesting/funny etc. It is nice to have some support to brace you when these vendors tell you how much these things cost. If not I may be at Brookhaven (mental ward) now. We are pretty much done with the planning with the exception of the details (which could go on forever). Good to meet you all. I will try to drive up my number of posts because it is the equivalent to having cigarettes in jail here on LIW.

Hi, I'm Anna (age 31). My FH's name is Peter (age 30). We're both Greek-American and we're having a very Greek wedding!
We got engaged May 25, 2007 (after about 2 years of dating), but I joined LIW a couple of weeks ago. Our wedding is set for Sunday, Nov 16, 2008, and we're (or rather I am) in the middle of planning on top of looking for a place to live and our jobs...it's certainly a handful.
On top of everything, I was recently diagnosed with spondylolysthesis...my 4th lumbar vertebra is sliding towards my belly and is causing a lot of pain. I'm scheduled for spine surgery in January, and the surgeon said that I should be 100% by next November...I can only hope!
I've uploaded a photo album of our engagement party photos, and also of my ring...please check them out if you get a chance!

Never formally introduced myself... I'm 25 and getting married in October '08. FH and I met in 1996 at a track meet in HS, dated on and off throughout HS and remained friends. We then started dating long distance during grad school and moved in together in January '07. He popped the question in July (and I tell everyone it took him almost 11 years to propose).
We're planning this long distance--we live in North Carolina with our two cats (the ones in my picture). My mom is helping out a lot since we're so far and she's probably reading this...she lurks on these boards more than I do. Hi Mom!

Hi! I'm Lauren. FH and I are both 26, and have been dating a little over 4 years. I've been a member for a few months now. I'm planning a wedding for 8-9-08, and live in San Francisco. My FH got a job out here (San Francisco), and since I'm a teacher and can do that anywhere, I came along. Kind of crazy planning a wedding when I live 3000 miles away, but LIW has been a HUGE help!!

Ok, so I am Marisol and my FH is Danny. We are both 25 years old and have been together for the past 7 years. We also met in high school and have been inseparable ever since. We were first friends and after several years of perseverence he won me over!! LOL He would kill me if he read this!!
We have been engaged since New Years Eve of 2006 and I can swear it has been the loooongest engagement in history! I have been an LIWer since 06 and just recently started posting.
I know KandR419 and Manzo2be on here both on the 07 boards! They cut me in line!! J/K
Ohh, and today we had our Pre-Cana!!! I absolutely fell in love with our host couple, I would highly recommend those who are marrying in Queens to have your Pre-Cana at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal! Gaby and Ernie were great!
I just wanted to say thanks for the pre-introduction chat advice and I look foward to chatting more with all of the brides on here!

I'm Laura (26) and my fiance is Chris (27). We've been together for about 4 years, and got engaged on 5/16/07 in Mykonos, Greece.
Although I had booked the hall and the church immediately after getting engaged, I am just starting to get into all of the real wedding planning, and I'm so thankful to this site and all of the wonderful brides!!

Hey girls..My name is Alida, my FH is Larry. I just recently turned 30, hes 36. We have been dating almost 2 years, living in sin for almost a year and a half. Dont laugh but we actually met on match.com. It turns out we had a lot of mutual friends in common and we totally hit it off. Anyways, we got engaged a few weeks ago on the beach in Aruba! It really was so beautiful! Cant wait to marry him! :o) We booked the hall, church, band, and photographer, and i picked out my dress and bridal party! Now i can sit back and relax and enjoy being engaged for a while!

Hi, I've been around a while, but don't think I ever really introduced myself. Also, I changed my user name after a month or so because I was a moron and used my real name as my user name, because I didn't realize it was a chat site when I joined. I'm Shari. I got engaged on April 5th, and found this site while RH hunting, and became addicted. I really didn't post too much in the past, but lately, I've been a crazy poster. A lot of procrastinating is going on, and I think you ladies are great. FH makes fun of me all the time for being on this way too much. I'm wide awake tonight while he's snoring away, so, here I am! I'm glad to finally introduce myself, and thanks to all the more active posters who have given me so much great advice! I need to finally take it, and start moving on booking vendors!
