Little things here and there but the biggest thing was me not knowing there was a strap to hold me up in my dress.

In every picture, I look like fcuking T!TS MCGEE.!!!!! That is the single most annoying thing. A wh0re on my wedding day, at least my dress was ivory.

ok this is going to sound absurd but it REALLY annoyed me. I had 'don't stop believin' on our must-play list. the DJ played the DANCE version, not the original. SOOOOO not me!!!

I sent in all the paperwork to my DJ's, and called to confirm that they had received it and put it in our folder (song selections, introductions, must play, do not play). 5 minutes before our entrance, he comes out and says 'have you picked an entrance song? who is walking in with who?' and he had a ilttle piece of paper and a pen to write it on. Yeah, the alleged folder somehow didn't make it to my DJ and MC.

Woodlands gave us half teal napkins and half sea green. We had definitely chosen only sea green. Our cake table had this burgundy colored linen on it, as did our sweetheart table. Our BM was well aware that our colors were lavender, pale green, and ivory.

Some of our centerpieces caught on fire.

I left explicit instructions, typed out and clearly labled and taped to the side of my box of favors, with instructions on how I wanted the ribbons tied after the cheesecakes went in. I even brought a sample to the RH and showed my BM how to do it and left the sample with her. She assured me it would be done correctly. Well, I see my BA, frantically putting the cakes in the boxes RIGHT OUTSIDE the reception room as guests are ALREADY LEAVING (at the piano, for you woodlands girls), and randomly tying them. I asked her what she was doing, that it was wrong. She said 'I THOGUHT IT LOOKED BETTER THIS WAY'

REALLY????? Ugh I am so mad just thinking about this.

We weren't given cake. We had to ask for cake.
I had to go to the bar to get myself a drink at one point. Water, no less, because there wasn't any left in my glass.

The car door on the Rolls FLEW OPEN when we were on our way to the church! I thought my dad was going to fall out - I screamed 'DADDY!!!!' like a 5 year old girl, and reached out to grab his arm.

Our priest was completely unprepared for our ceremony. I don't know how, but he was. He cut things out that we had gone over. The rehearsal at the church was a disaster - the priest wasn't even there. that should have been my clue.

I have no idea what happened to my blessed mother bo-k. I know I ordered it. I know I paid for it. Never saw it.

Couldn't wear my garter bc you could see it thru my dress.

Makeup artist was about an hour late, maybe a little more.

My shoes hurt so badly I wanted to cut my feet off, but I had nothing to change into. Barefoot Jefferson!

DO NOT get me started on the garden city hotel. I will start throwing things around my office. Enough said.

Ummm I think that's it?

Im not sure what shocked me more... the centerpieces that went caught on fire or the fact that the door to the rolls almost blew off.

~my dj never looped my song to walk down the aisle to so lyrics started playing and it's not that kind of song...his hard drive also crashed once or twice so thank god i had burnt him a cd b/c he had to play it

~hair person ran 40 minutes late

~there was a black cloud over Flowerfield with blue sky to the left and right. it RAINED for 15 minutes only when it was ceremony time so i couldn't have it outside and got no pics of our flowers out there

~my BM's couldn't get my dress on/bustle it so the photog left and I didn't get some pics I wanted such as putting on my garter

~Flowerfield never showed me my room before everyone else got to see it. I would've loved to seen it before it was touched

small things

My cocktail hour and reception ran about 45 minutes late. I had no concept of time, so I had no idea... Fox Hollow girls, don't stress it... I am positive this was one a time thing due to the accommodations we needed.

When I went for the first look at the RH -- no chair covers. It was fixed in about 5 minutes flat.

Ever see 16 Candles? Well, there was THAT.

Let me tell you if I could have Jessica D, Lauren, and Stephanie from PWP run my life, I would. They fixed EVERYthing.

My flowers which I changed with 10 days to go were F&cking awesome. I loved each and every vendor. Please FM with any questions because I am way too lazy to write a review.

OMG...You had so many 'little things'! Although, out of everything, this is what really caught my attention! How did you centerpieces catch on fire?? That's awful....but the image is kind of . Sorry.

no its fine - laugh away!!!! they were on candelabra pedestals, and i guess the florist didn't think to make sure the greenery wouldn't dangle into the flames of the candles... i think it was my LIW chickies that brought it to my attention actually. obvs! i vaguely remember telling someone to take care of it. god knows who.

Re: So married girls...what were your lil snags...

Well the biggest issue was with Pedestals as they came AFTER the ceremony was supposed to start to set up, didnt do half of what they were supposed to, and didn't set the arrangements up properly so right before we were about to begin one toppled over and broke, water and glass everywhere in front of guests...

i left my garter home and had to pick it up after the ceremony

my bracelet fell off as soon as I got to the altar

no one fixed my blusher properly when my dad lifted it, so it looked retarded in the back the whole time

The flower girl and ring bearer didn't really make it all they way up the aisle but they were cute anyways

The steel drummers never showed up for the cocktail hour

we didnt enough pics with immediate family

that was about it though. the major thing was with pedestals but i didnt let it bother me on the day.

Thank God for my DOCs. they were lifesavers!!

there would have been a ton more

Florist brought one less BM bouquet than she was supposed to, called her and got one brought over quickly so it wasn't a big problem.

florist forgot the throw away bok, not a huge deal but i had to throw one of the bms boks.

ummmm...pretty bad and i hate thinking about it but we didnt order name in lights whatsoever and all of a sudden we notice that the dj had put another couples name all across the dance floor. i was PISSSSEDDDD.

well the bows on the cake looked nothing like bows

this is so minor but i forgot to take my bok back from my moh when dh and i turned aaround to walk down the aisle

omg how could i forget, the minister was almost late for our ceremony, came 5 minutes before.

our florist who was supposed to do the lighting had his things supposedly stolen the night before at a party and i had to have regular uplighting///i know that sounds bratty but i specifically went with him because of the lighting i was offered.

Re: So married girls...what were your lil snags...

I only had a couple small things.

When I made out my table assignments somehow I screwed up and gave the RH 8 at one table and there should have been 10. My brother told me about this during the CH in the Bridal Suite and I ran down to fix it and it was already done. My RH took care of it and added chairs and place settings to that table.

I was supposed to have car come and pick me up after the reception and when I called my limo company they said it wasnt in the contract and had no idea about it. . I got a ride home from my brother and it all worked out.

no other snags day of.

Ehh nothing major

My BM's didn't show up on time so my hair and makeup person were standing around - this didnt' make us late for anything though so it was fine.

I forgot the throwaway bo-k at my parents house. Again - no big deal as the Swan Club put a bo-k together and gave the anniversary dance winners a bottle of champagne as well.

Probably the biggest snag - the DJ somehow didn't have a list of our must play songs. He did a great job don't get me wrong. There were a few country songs I wanted played and some others that weren't. He had our guests dancing all night though and we got so many compliments on him.

the limo didnt send the right limo so i had to fight with him while trying to take pictures.

and my dj had a problem with the different songs that we had for each BM and GM. some of the songs played twice, DH wasnt to happy but oh well.

Re: So married girls...what were your lil snags...

Just a few...

1. The DJ did not play the right entrance song..this made DH more upset then it did me.

2. During the ceremony, half of my bridesmaids walked down the isle to NO music!! When I was walking down, thankfully he started to play but then continued to play on and on while I was standing at the front of the church!

And my flower girls kept talking during the entire ceremony (not a big deal, but it was a little irritating!)

3. The strap on my dress popped half way through the reception. Luckily...my bridal attendant had a safety pin and tape!!

The only thing that happened to me was that we got hit with a wave at the beach where we took pics....surprisingly, I did NOT flip out!!! :)

despite being covered in sand all over my feet and shoes, it was something ill never forget!!!

Re: So married girls...what were your lil snags...

My dj didn't play the only 2 songs on our MUST play list (the tarentella and a polka)

The limos were late picking the guys up for pictures so we missed out on a lot of group shots... I even had a DOC to try and keep the time line so not sure what happened there.

My DOC was hard to find during the night but NBD since I had two awesome Bridal Attendants that the Woodlands gave me and she forgot to give out tips to a few vendors.

Nothing major by any means.

Re: So married girls...what were your lil snags...

I just realized I never followed up on this (after originally posting it!).

We only had a few issues.

My main issue was my DJ. He totally didn't follow my 'Must Play' list. Instead, he played a bunch of songs I didn't like and took requests from people. My main problems with him were 1) he cut all the parent dances short. He only played the first verse and chorus and then cut the song. I was really looking forward to my father/daughter dance and then when it ended early, I tried to be graceful and leave the dancefloor, but i really wanted to rip his throat out. Oh, and he also cut my wedding song short too. He stopped after the 2nd verse and chorus. 2) He welcomed everyone to 'Valerie and Orlando's Wedding'. My husbands name is Omar.

One other small issue was that my toasting flute base was broken. My BA said that it came out the box that way, but I didn't believe her. Luckily, I had crazy glue and she was able to fix it!

My hotel room (where I got ready and then later on spent our wedding night) smelled of spoiled milk. They sent a handy man to come and look at the fridge. He moved it and cleaned it, but nothing helped. They didn't even comp anything for us either! $300 a night for a stinky room.

Other than that, all my other vendors rocked and my day was fabulous! If I could go back in time, I would have spent more $$ and hired a better and more attentive DJ!
