Re: So married girls...what were your lil snags...
Haaaaaa...well, thank goodness for my Mom and MOH because a lot of my snags were made to be no big deal because of them...also I was pretty calm the whole day and basically didn't care when things went wrong.
My biggest issue was with my DOC...unfortunately. She's a very sweet girl but she was pretty much almost useless to me the day of...like I said, my Mom and MOH really took care of a lot of stuff and because of them things ran really smoothly...but I really didn't want them to have to be doing all that, I just wanted them to be able to sit back and relax...instead they were doing my DOC's job.
1) We were running late and waiting on the bus and couldn't go because there was a truck just sitting in the parking lot blocking us...my DOC was sitting in her car behind the bus doing nothing about it. My MOH and Mom took care of that one and then we left, but we lost time and DH and I had to take pics during the CH which I didn't want to do...but...oh well.
2) Once we got to the RH all of a sudden my videographer and photographers come up to me and tell me that my Rabbi is telling them they can't move around during the ceremony at all...that was literally the first I heard of it from her. I basically told her to go screw, that I paid them to do a job and they're gonna do it...she was concerned with them being all up under the chuppah which I knew they wouldn't be. They did their job the way I wanted, so whatever.
3) There was a miscommunication and because of it there was no mic or speakers at our ceremony...I'm pretty sure at least half of the guests couldn't hear anything that was going on and the other half probably could only hear when DH and I said our vows
4) I didn't realize that the florist was not going to be the one to put the flowers on our cake...the chef at the RH did it and he didn't do it the way I had originally intended for it to be...it looked fine, just not what I had wanted.
5) I don't even know who my bridal attendant was...I remember she came in to the bridal suite after the ceremony to get our dinner order but I never saw her again after that...DH and our photographer were keeping us in drinks and stuff.
Honestly there's probably more that I'm forgetting and the DOC thing is pretty upsetting to me...but...I REALLY loved my day and I really feel like the things that did go wrong did not affect my enjoyment of the day at all...I was so calm the day of and nothing was gonna bring me down![]()
