SO MISERABLE

First of all, I saw all your posts with thoughts and prayers for me. Thank you so much, that meant a lot.

The surgery went as well as possible, I came out with flying colors. I went in at 10:30 and was home in my own bed by 3:00. It was, after all, Friday before a 3 day weekend.

Anyway, I was feeling bad, then better, then awful (cause I couldn't make! ), then pretty good and now....


I have a cold. So I'm miserable. Normally, a cold would just be a nuisance, but every time I cough or sneeze it pulls at the stitches and the wounds and my abdominal muscles are still tender. If it weren't for that, I'd be feeling pretty great, actually.

Sorry I haven't been around, I haven't been much in the mood to chat. But I've been lurking periodically. Trying not to miss too much

Feel better! I've had abdominal surgery twice -- once was open and the other was laparoscopic.

After the open surgery, I got bronchitis. I found a stuffed animal that fit comfortably on my stomach (a kangaroo called Boo Roo Roo, but I digress). If you have a pillow or stuffed animal, hold it over your stomach when you cough or sneeze. It sounds silly, but it will help.

Also, sorry if TMI, but Colace will help with the other issue!
