So my fear with the dry cleaner came true!

So my fear with the dry cleaner came true!

I had to dry clean my dress as it was a sample, so I did my research and went to a place many girls recommended. When I went today to pick up my dress, a crystal was missing from the front. Many of the others are coming out of their settings and loose. The woman said to leave the dress and the manager would come tomorrow to see if he can find something to match. I'm pissed because it is right on the bust and COMPLETELY obvious! What will I do if they cannot replace it? What if more crystals fall out now????

This is what it looked like before:

Is there any way to take it back to the store that you bought it at to see how much it would cost to replace the crystals?

If not maybe find a substitute for them- something that can be sewn on perhaps??

Could you take a crystal from another place on the dress(a place that would be less noticable) and have it sewn onto the spot where it is missing. They also should be able to reinforce the other crystals whose threads are loose. Good luck...I am sure it will work out for you.

I was thinking of this! I'm going to do this if they can't find something to replace it that matches.

The only thing is that the crystals are in settings and held on with prongs. All of the prongs are loose and I'm afraid they will break if we try to tighten them all.

call the place you bought it from. The manufacturer of the dress should be able to send some of the exact crystals. My friend bought a Paloma Blanca sample and there were a few crystals missign and Palom blanca sent the crystals and actually paid the dress hsop to have them sewn on by the seamstress!

They will fix it - contact the manufacturer as one of the other ladies suggested - Look up on line and call - I bet they will mail you the pieces you need. Your dress is BEAUTIFUL !!!
