I have my first internship interview tomorrow. My stomach is in knots. I'm not the best with interviews and I'm really nervous that I'm not prepared. Luckily, this is not one of my top choices, so I'm hoping it will be good practice. I have 2 more interviews so far, on the 10th and the 17th, at places that I'm really interested in. Please wish me luck and cross all fingers and toes for me!! Thanks!

Good luck! I am sure you will do fine, and since this isnt one of your top choices at least it will be good practice even if you dont get this one.

I should probably explain how this whole process works, since I know I'll be posting about it for the next few months. It's a very competitive nationwide process. Interviews go from now thru February. All the applicants submit a rank order list of our preference for internship site, and all the site rank the applicants. We are matched by computer. On 2/25, we find out if we're matched. On 2/28, we find out WHERE we're matched. If we're not matched, we go into a clearinghouse with all the sites that weren't matched with applicants.
I have applied to 16 places and have 3 interviews so far. I'm waiting to hear from the other 13....

Best of Luck! This one is practice. I've never not gotten a job or itnernship I've interviewed for and I think it's because I've always gone in thinking it was a foregone conclusion that I would get the job. CONFIDENCE is key!

I'm in the school/clinical child psych program at Pace University. Very similar programs!
