One of my students passed out in class and they can't wake him up. He has been out for 15 minutes and nothing is working. The ambulance just took him to the hospital. I am soooo worried. I hope I find out what happened before I leave today or I won't be able to stop thinking about it. Is it normal to be passed out for that long? The nurse couldn't even get him to wake up with the smelling salts. I hope he is okay

I can't believe that! This must be so nerve wrecking for you. The poor mother... I have an eleven year old boy and I would just die if anything ever happened to him .

How old are your students? Are drugs possible? Did he have a seizure? If he had a seizure he would still be postictal? Is he a diabetic? His sugra could be low? Don't frett too much?!?!?! YOu could try going to the ER after work and see how he is doing. Good Luck

He is in 7th grade. Drugs could be involved but I saw him earlier in the day and he seemed fine. There are no medical conditions on his emergency contact card but who knows. Supposedly he was at the nurse for a few minutes this morning complaining of being dizzy but then he said he felt better and went back to class.
