So nervous...getting a tooth pulled

So nervous...getting a tooth pulled

Ugh!!!

So, I'm getting a tooth pulled even though I have ZERO pain.

My wisdom teeth came into totally fine, not impacted at all. They've been in for a couple of years now. Last time I was at the dentist, they told me that one of my wisdom teeth had a cavity so bad that it was down to the nerve and they can't believe I didn't feel it.

Well, I still don't feel it, at ALL. Maybe occasionally if I drink something really cold, I even realize I have a tooth back there. But no pain.

And if it wasn't for the wedding in 37 days, I wouldn't be doing it. But what if all of a sudden that pain kicks in two days before?!?

Everyone tells me its not a big deal, I'll be fine in a couple of days. But I'm soooo nervous!!

I had to have my wisdom teeth removed too, and it wasn't at all bad, so I think you should be fine. If I recall, I had some mild swelling for a couple of days but not much pain. They gave me painkillers but I found just taking ibuprofen to be enough in managing pain. I couldn't fully open my mouth until the stitches dissolved though, which was a bit of a nuisance. Just ice your face after and do salt water rinses after every meal. It'll speed up recovery and help prevent infection. :)

Edited to say: if you opt to take prescription painkillers as opposed to over the counter stuff, don't take it on an empty stomach. It'll help prevent any upset stomach/nausea.

I had all four pulled at once. They numbed me up and gave me that twilight anesthia where you are kinda awake but not really. He was done before i knew it. Not a big deal at all. Some pain after but like msj288 said they give you pain killers and you can take some ibuprofen.
