so now my shower date is narrowed down even more.........

All along i have said i want my shower to be a surprise cause i have never had a real surprise party! ( its still gonna be a surprise just read on)

Well one of my BMS that i posted about in the past decided she was gonna beat me to the alter and get married in FL...she just told me about them getting married in the last 2 months or so but has been talking about getting engaged for a while.....

well i thought she was just going for a weekend so i didnt think anything of it. She calls me the other day telling me she is gone this week thru March 16th!!!!!!!!!!!! ***! so now i know for a fact my shower wont be till at least the last weekend of March cause the weekend after she gets back is easter weekend and i doubt they planned it for that weekend............so pretty much now i know my shower will be in April. I am still excited cause i cant wait to see what the girls do for me they are an amazing group of girls and VERY creative so i will still be surprosed....but i just feel like the anticipation was taken away from me....i kinda have more of an idea as to when it is now not an exact date but i am still upset about it!! I am so mad at her for doing this stuff....if it wasnt for the fact she has been one of my BFFs since we were like 11 i would have killed her by now

Sorry to vent again i just feel like she is being so rude about it!

you aren't wrong, but it will still be a lot of fun even if it isn't a complete surprise! the details of the party still will be!

also, is she really trying to race you to the altar? and this is a friend?

yeah she was....she always felt she should be married first cause she is older then me and she thought the fact that she lives with her boyfriend and I dont that she should be married first.....maybe it bothers me more cause i do not approve of her marring him....just somethign about him urks me! mes old enought to be our DAD witch is fine to each their own but he just looks like a dirt bag and he got her into doing drugs when they first started dating and she still does a little here and there....... but she didnt even bring up getting engaged till my engagment party she started saying yeah i think hes gonna sk soon and blah blah blah and then when we ordered the BM dreses and my gown a few weeks later she started telling me about probably going to FL and going to a justic of the peace....so yeah i really feel that way........i still love her she is one of my oldest a dreaest friends i just dont think its right!

i'm sorry, i just can't believe your friend is doing this to you. why does she feel the need to beat you to it? i saw your original post about it, but i don't know if i commented on it. i just think the whole thing is ridiculous. why couldn't she just wait??
