So, now that we are preparing to move in to our own place...I don't even care about the wedding anymore...

I don't want to spend one more penny on the wedding.

Now, I am totally focused on decorating the place! And, buying appliances: here's my list so far:

coffee maker
blender
toaster oven
set of bedding
lamps

ADT, when do I call them? I want an alarm installed ASAP after we move in...

What else will I need to hold me over until after the wedding?

aww.... I felt that way too when we were going to buy a house, then it fell through... and we decided to wait till after the wedding. I was having a breakdown over things going through and paying for both the house and the wedding. I'm so happy things turned out for you, much luck, love and Congratulations in you new home. May you have years of happiness there!

I know exactly how you feel. We bought our house July 2002 and got engaged Feb 2003.

Everytime we make a deposit for a vendor or make payment towards reception hall, I think that could be my new couch for the living room I have no furntiture in or my new dishwasher or my new etc.... But in the end we really want the wedding too.

We (really meaning my FI) has done alot in our house. Everyroom is repainted with crown moulding and all the bedrooms have new carpet and he just tiled the hallway and the kitchen and he rebuilt the deck. It's a balancing act right. But it's worth putting off some things for the wedding.

I know that feeling also. Although FH and I live in his parents house, the first floor is as blank as a slate. We have SSOOOOOO much work to do it is scary, All we have done thus far is paint( and we still have the patio and second bedroom to do still). I have mixed feelings about the wedding spending but I figure we have alot more time to work on the house, but the wedding is just once. The entire kitchen has to be gutted and redone, and we still have alot of furniture to buy. I just tell myslf, one thing at a time.......
