So on Wednesday.........

I decided to take the day off from work. Who wants to commute especially if we have as much snow as they say we're supposed to.
So, FH cooks ALL the time for me and I was thinking I can cook dinner for him since its Valentines Day.
Here's the problem. Im not a great cook so I need advise on the 'easier but good' things to make.
Any advice ladies?

Thanks!

Chicken parm and pasta is always good and easy. I bake the chicken so there's no frying (which makes it even easier). LOL

You can make a salad for the side dish and maybe a veggie... like steamed veggies (good time to use the new steamer you may have gotten off your registery).

I seen my mom make this a billion times!!! I think I can make that?
Maybe I should bring up to him what his favorite food is and then if its like lobster or soemthing....then ask him if he likes chicken cutlet Parm

Chicken cutlets...always good...I like to make red potatoes cut up with some olive oil, chopped garlic, parsley, and whatever seasonings you like. You bake them in the oven, and add some butter and sour cream...Yum... For the veggie, I like to make cream spinach. Cook the spinach over the stove and add a can of cream of mushroom..It is so good all together...I am hungry now!!

You know how you and I are great cooks? So I am going to give you my ultimate receipe. I make this often. It's called

MACARONIE AND CHEESE SURPRISE!

it can be used as a main dish or on the side.

1) make macaronie and cheese
2) chop up a frankfurter or two into thick slices
3) boil them in with the macaronie

and then when FH takes a bite......SURPRISE!! You have little weenies in there!!

if you go on the food network.com you can finds tons of recipes. Look for stuff by Sandra Lee since she does semi- homemade cooking. Those should be pretty easy recipes.
