So one of my best friends eloped on June 4th....(this is unbelieveable!) (LONG)
She lives in Rochester NY.
A few days before she and her husband planned to elope BOTH of their cars broke down so my friend that was going to be their witness drove them to the courthouse to get married and then back to the shop where they were picking up his car. They get in the car and drive to Rite-Aid to pick up her perscription before heading out to dinner. They get out of Rite Aid and the car will not start. They called the shop and they said sorry its too late we cant do anything for you.
So they waited for AAA to come help them for 2 hours in the Rite Aid parking lot on their wedding day!!!
Eventually, his friend lets them borrow his car to go out to dinner that night. By the time they got home and finished packing, its 2AM.
They were going to Florida, where my friend has never been before. She has never been further south within the country than NYC! So this was a trip of a lifetime for her. His mother is scheduled to pick them up to drive them to the airport at 5AM. 5AM comes and goes and his mother is banging on their door for an hour or so. She gets nervous that something happened and calls the police!!! The police come and bang on the door and finally they woke up! They obviously overslept because they were only getting 3 hours of sleep. They called the airlines and they said if they came within 2 hours they wouldnt have to pay anything extra.
They ended up having a wonderful time in Florida but how horrible was their day before!!! I feel so bad for her!!!
