So pissed!!!

My hall does not offer a tasting They had a Bridal Showcase with 300 people who were not even getting married there, and they only served Cocktail Hour food, There is Soooo much to pick for our reception dinner menu, we have no clue. Lombardis said that its not there policy to have a tasting hey said we should go to there resteraunt and pic out what we like, nor a voucher to have dinner. Is this normal??? Because if its not this will be my first Bridezilla moment, we are paying soooooooooo much for our wedding there. They are pissing me off already

WOW, MOSTLY EVERY PLACE DOES A TASTING....I WONDER WHY THEY DONT!!! THATS NOT RIGHT...WITH THE AMOUNT YOU SPEND ON THESE THINGS A SIMPLE TAST OF A COUPLE OF THINGS SHOULD NOT BE SO HARD!!!

The Watermill does not have a tasting either. I think this is becoming more routine for halls. It's the least they can do after all you are shelling out a ton of money.

Fox Hollow doesn't do a tasting either. FH and I went to their restaurant as was suggested to us and though it was a little pricey we ordered the things that we were contemplating on putting in the menu and everything was delicious!

It stinks that they don't offer a tasting but I'm glad they at least have the restaurant.

My hall told me we have a great rep we dont need to do tastings.

I could not believe. Thank god I have never heard anything bad about the food.

Villa Lombardi's food is consistent and very good. I have been to numerous weddings there. You have nothing to worry about. I know its still frustrating.

I don't blame you...my hall gave us a hard time too b/c they said that b/c FH and I and my parents had both been to weddings there we knew what the food was like, therefore we didn't get one. Not to sound like a total baby, but I'm making my mom or dad call to b!tch them out and make them give us one...I know for a fact of other brides who had them. I'm not going to call myself b/c I don't want them to take it out on me on my wedding day...and my parents are paying for it anyway. Or at the very least, they should be paying for your dinner at the restaurant...Fox hollow offered to do that for us. I can sympathize with you though...This business is totally chock full of douchebags, IMO.

I can't believe that about Lombardi's and the Watermill. My girlfriend checked out Watermill last year and they let her taste the food when she went to visit. I would be annoyed too but why don't you try spaeaking with the owner and let him klnow how you feel. After all you are paying for it.
