So pissed

I went to a certain jewler this weekend...and they had to make a mold of my e-ring so that they could make my custom wedding band. They had to hold on to the ring for about an hour so I asked them to take out my diamond and let me hold on to it. Everything went great, I left. The ring was so shiny cause they cleaned it after the wax mold.

well last night I noticed that my ring is no longer clean but is now turning a yellowish color and there are two huge indents in my prongs.. like as if they bent them all the way back... I don't know if any of this is normal but I am really upset.

Everytime I had anyone besides the jewler that FH got my ring at touch it something is messed up and I am just really upset.

I didn't yet because I am so upset right now I just might start screaming and that never gets anyone anywhere... also I just don't know what to say or do. I asked my boss to look at it upclose and he agreed that the indents are ridiculous and that it is a yellowish color. ugh

I mean, I'm sure they'll rectify it but what a pain!

they should fix that ASAP -- especially the prong dents. You don't want them to be weakened in any way.

I had a prong moved slightly (it was a touch off-center) and it brought out a little yellow in the white gold too; now I have to go get it re-rhodiumed but I don't want to part with my e-ring for a week FH says I'm crazy and can't even see the yellow but it drives me nuts.

Jen, this is insane! And just after what we were talking about at the g2g about what had already happened!!! I'm so sorry. I think you should go there immediately in person and speak to the person in charge. I'm sure they will be able to fix it. I'm so sorry you're going through this

Thanks.. I'm just so annoyed.. I wish I noticed when I was there. I should have inspected it.. I was too concerned with my swollen hand from slamming in there EXTRA HEAVY door.

They should have to pay for the repair of your ring!!! That's so ridiculous. This is why I only trust ONE jeweler with my problems. . .you never know what you're going to get elsewhere!!!

I called and I was ready to go insane... but they were nice and said bring it in right away...so I am going to bring it in tomorrow. Hopefully they can fix it ..
