I was thinking back to when I started planning and I lauged out loud to myself thinking about things I was so clueless about...so why dont we all post something that we were totally clueless about (funny or not)...

mine was that when I came on the boards and Im like omg, why does like very bride have STDs...that s*ck*s for them!!! (like ya know, sexually tr...ok you get it)

** This is in no way making fun of anyone who does have an actual STD...I would never make fun of that*

I thought TIA was just one of the girl's names on here.

I'm so with you on the STD!!! I remember once this girl wrote OMG i got my STD'S!! and there was a happy face i was like wow, i would've never be happy about that!!!

So I had lunch with a friend who got engaged a few months after we did and she joined LIW around the same time... I asked her, 'Did you get your 'Dodge' yet? (Saying Dodge for DOJ) and the third girl we were with was like, 'WHAT???'

LOL

But seriously, one thing I didn't know before I started planning was that if you get invited to a wedding and you can't attend, you are STILL supposed to RSVP and send a gift - I didn't do that one time to a college friend and now I feel the need to call and apologize a few years later. Oops! What the heck did I know back then?

I know...I catch myself amost calling my fiance, my 'FH' too!

I remember in the beginning not knowing what DOC was- i saw a post 'should i get a DOC'- and i was like why would she need a Doctor for her wedding?????? LOL

it really is such secret society language- i'm still finding new appreviations out everyday.
