so sad...

with exactly two weeks to the wedding, my grandmother fell and broke her leg. it is doubtful that she will ever walk again, let alone down the aisle, if she even makes it down from mass for the wedding.

i am beside myself. she is my only living grandparent, and it was really important for me to have her there. now it doesnt look like it is going to happen.

thank you all for your care and concern! your prayers must be working, so keep it up! she just got out of surgery, and she has a titanium pin from her knee to her hip keeping her femur together. shell only have an air cast, and the doctor seems tothink shell be able to come down for the wedding!

I'm so sorry to hear that! I know how you feel, my Noni fell right before my shower and was not able to attend. I was so dissapointed when I realized she was not there.

I'm sorry this happened and hope your grandmother has a quick and easy recovery and is able to make it down for your wedding. i'm sure that she will fight to make it there. my grandmother broke her hip 2 years ago and was able to walk again with assistance. Now she's really sick and I'm not sure she'll live long enough to see me get married, but I know she's going to try!

What upsetting news!! Here are some hugs and prayers for her speedy recovery! Maybe someone can bring her down to your wedding and you can rent a wheelchair for her?
