so sick of swine flu.

So I just found out that the Jr. High that is like around the block from me was just closed down due to 8 swine flu cases.

i love when they say 300 kids were out sick due to swine flu.. how bout 5 are sick and the rest stayed home cuz their parents are afraid.

if its not asbestos, its the swine flu..

well apparently my school has 400 kids out of school everyday since monday its crazy i know some parents keep them home but some are really really sick! there is 1 case of swine flu confirmed but my school is not closing! so we are just hoping for the best! my school is 2 blocks away from I.S 238 so its frightening

Hate to say this...but IT'S JUST THE FLU!!!!!!!!!!!! As long as everyone is a normal healthy person with no underlying condiitions, you will be sick for a week then be fine!! Take some vitamins for the love of god...

I agree... for the most part. However, I'm pretty sure that one of the main differences b/t swine flu & the regular flu is that the swine is worse for toddlers & infants. I work with toddlers & infants on a daily basis, so for myself I am not deathly afraid of getting this swine flu, but for the kid's sake, I don't want it.

As long as people have proper medical care/treatment and dont lolly gag around when they start to feel symptoms...its totally treatable for the young, old and middle aged...

Maybe I'm jaded bc I see worse stuff than this on a daily basis, but come on now people...America is not a thrid world country...

Like I said, I agree. I think it has gotten totally blown out of proportion.

But I don't want to be responsible for getting a 2 year old sick with it and sending his/her parents into a state of panic.

I know my aunt and a few of my friends are teachers and they are waiting for there schools to close the school across the street from my aunts school closed and she has not they have siblings in both so she is rally getting annoyed, The junior HS i went to closed down!

It is getting a little out of hand... The hysteria has spread to LI and all these public schools are closing. They have been off since Wednesday. I bet you it's just the administrators and teachers who wanted a long break...
