So STRESSED! :( Need Venue help ASAP

So I've visited 5 RH so far and have not fallen in love with any. I went to Sand Castle,Woodbury CC,Jericho Terrace,The Inn at NHP,and Crest Hollow CC. They were all nice in their own way but I hate SC's street location,Woodbury halls thrive on paying 6-8k for decor on top of pp price,The Inn was too expensive and not feeling the st location neither, and CHCC was beautiful outside, and beautiful drive in entrance, but the ballroom looked so BAD to me, and I hated JT lobby and chair covers and linens in rooms looked so cheap and rundown, so now I'm stuck. I will be visiting North Ritz and Bridgeview YC this weekend. I'm looking for a RH with beautiful grounds, updated and elegant ballroom, good view and big bridal suite. Basically a place like Chateau Briand :) (btw thats not an option as my bro was married there)...any suggestions in Nassau County? If anything which would you pick based off my criteria above, WCC,SC,JT, BYC, or NRC??? PLEASE HELP!!!!

I know how hard the search is. Take your time, look at lots of places, enjoy it while you do, you'lll never get to do this again so take it in... make a list of your priorities, must haves, wants and things you'd be willing to sacrifice

Have you tried Westbury Manor? The place is beautiful, it was my runner up.

I'm getting married at Russo's on the Bay... not in Nassau, in Queens, but take a look at the website, they just opened a beautiful garden and gazebo this year.

And here's a tip for this site... we're all here to help each other... just try to keep in mind that some of the places you didn't like for whatever reason are other bride's dream venues... so express your opinion, but maybe consider doing it a little more gently. Not a criticism, just an observation. Good luck!

ETA maybe you'll like the Woodlands? IT's a mansion with a ballroom, very pretty and gorgeous grounds. And the Royalton is gorgeous too, but it was booked on my day.

North Ritz Club is beautiful but again has that 'street location' you may not like. I've been to weddings there and you don't notice the street. The inside is beautiful and the food is amazing. You may also want to check out Flowerfield..the grounds are gorgeous and the ballroom is easy to customize. Happy Hunting!

BYC is on my top favorites.

i love love love BYC but the location isnt exactly ideal. its in an industrial area, and pulling up its not the best, but when you get inside you will forget all that.

You should also check out the woodlands, its on a golf course, a long treelined driveway, old mansion feel, and the price is very good for what you are getting

you need to sit back and really evaluate what is important to you and what you can deal with.

Thanks, I may check Russo, I really like the surprise entrances they have in their ballrooms...

Dont intend to offend anyone, just stating my personal opinion on each venue I've visited..I did mention they all are nice in their own way ;)

The Woodlands seemed really nice on the website, but I dont really like their chairs..flowerfield is nice but unfortunately too far as we're coming from Brooklyn....and I ve checked Royalton's site out and it seems nice as well...does anyone know if you have to customize your linens and chair covers at the Woodlands or Royalton? I liked the pictures shown in the ballroom at the Royalton best but was wondering if the room is automatically set up with those chairs and linens or if that was a personal adjustment of the party...also can anyone post of FM me pricing on the places above, food reviews, staff reviews..if they are not too expensive I will visit, Thanks!

there are no chair covers at the royalton. IF you want them, you set that up with your florist. The table clothes they provide are white embosed. If you want any more infor on the royalton, FM me.

Good luck with your search

you can always rent chair covers on your own through a rental company.

Before you cross it off I would suggest actually going there and looking, pictures can be decieving on the internet

this!! always give it a chance and walk in with an open mind. this is the hardest part of the planning process (it was for me at least). You need to take your time- you will find your perfect hall!

NRC is a street location too, its a bit set back but you still see and hear the street from the CH area

I def rec checking it out, you get a lot of bang for your buck there. FH & I didn't really find a place that was that nice and included a lot...so check it out for sure

Royalton is expensive and they don't budge much on price just an FYI bc I think you said inn at NHP was expensive- royalton is prob same or more than the Inn - but it is gorgeous! absolutely gorgeous! its tucked away in a neighborhood, everything is immaculate there

Definitely agree with Russo's on the Bay. FH and I went to a wedding there in August and everything was top notch. I saw you said you're from Brooklyn. What about El Caribe? My best friend's sister is having her wedding there and it's supposed to be beautiful.

Nothing even came close to Russos for us... Definitely check it out! It's not even about the features and the pictures... You have to meet the staff and see how everything is run there. Mr. Russo actually has a HAPPY staff that's genuine when they say welcome, can we help, thank you for coming, etc... If you need more info feel free to FM me =)

I agree, finding an RH is very hard! There are so many things to consider! Take your time and prioritize what is important to you and then weigh your options. I'm going through the same battle right now. Good Luck!

I agree, Russo's is awesome... however, it is located right on Crossbay so I don't know if that will work for you. I loved Fox Hollow and Swan Club too, maybe those would work for you?

Did you try westbury manor? It is not a over the top place though, it is a very homey RH.

Try de Seversky Mansion with NYIT (college) Grounds are beautiful, tucked away on private road off Northern Blvd, beautiful ballroom and amazing bridal suite. You have to like mansions thought as much is more vintage than glitz and mirrors. It was my one and only RH visit. Warmer weather they have beautiful patios overlooking ponds, etc.

I went to over 30 locations (dragging fh to all of them) before deciding. take yout time but remember- no place is perfect. I made a + and - list for every place i went. its just a matter of deciding what is most important to you.
