How do I get somebody to hire me in my field so I don't have to be a housewife anymore?
I can't do this anymore

Re: So this unemployment thing is getting boring
Thanks for all of the good vibes. Maybe something will come up SOON. I can't help but get discouraged.

Juliet, you and I both shared the same title at work - if it's any help I can FM you a copy of my own resume and maybe you can use that to help describe your own responsibilities at your previous job? I know I had a really hard time describing my job when I updated my resume recently, but after about 20 drafts and going over it with my FIL (who has done more resume updates in his 20+ years in the financial industry than anyone I know!) I'm finally happy with it as an accurate description of my skills and abilities. Let me know, I'd love to help a fellow Asst. Managing Editor!

I would love to see what your resume says. That would be great. Even though I don't want managing ed anymore, I would love to see if I am just not dressing it up enough and not making it sound so great. Thanks Helena!

I tried too!! I'm sorry Juliet!!
I know, Jo, you're a good egg.
Maybe if I am still unemployed when you leave in August, I'll take your job Although I hope I have a job by then.
Hey, I was just about to fm you about that. I am looking to get a leave of absence, but if that doesn't work, I will DEFINITELY recommend you for my spot. I will keep you posted!
You're leaving in Aug, right?
YES!! , but for the sake of money and probably not being able to find a full-time teaching job after I student teach in January (middle of school year)..I am asking them for a leave of absence. I really don't want to come back, but I need the $$.
Would they replace your with a temp for that time?

glad to help! it's not anything spectacular, but I know with me at least, that sometimes just seeing an example helps me write something better on my own I'll FM now!
