fh ask me to cut corners on the wedding because of the house hes building, he ask me to cancel the decorator,WHAT !!!! i need my linens and chair covers and things i'm so upset, i even cried and called him a wedding crasher, i do not want a typical pa. ghetto wedding that is not my wedding dream, he's turning my wonderful dream wedding to a nightmare, i dont even know where to cut cost anywhere to keep her, i'm so sad. next he will be asking me to make flowers from paper. i dont know what to do. i just needed to vent....

we have cut back on sooo much already. if he would have listened to me in the first place we could have got a place that offered decorating service, but NO he was so about the place we booked, he had to have it there, ugggh
then tell him to cut out of HIS daily life, and remind him nicely about extra $ he cont to spends... i hate when the FH decides to be a wedding pooper...
like why help me in the beginning if you are gonna ***** at the end...

At least he's asking for a good reason (I'm assuming the house he's building is for you guys??) I do see his point- but if you really want them- I agree maybe you can cut in other areas of you budget or daily expenses....

he's buidling a house for you guys to live in? i'd say cut corners.. and tell him since u'r cutting corners u're expcting that jacuzzi tub, some high hats,the bay window, the central air conditioning, an extra skylight and an inground pool.

Is there a way to do things cheaper without hiring a decorator (cut out the middleman) or to find an amateur decorator who charges less but still has a good eye? Can you cut costs in your everyday life or in other wedding areas that are less important to you? Is there anything you can DIY or change to get the same effect for less?

there are soo many ways to do the decorating yourself...michaels...ac moore...the florist and cp that there really is no reason for a decorator at your wedding it is paying someone to do stuff that is fun and enjoyable that you can do you can even get your bridal party or close family and friends to help you with it...so maybe not having on if you have to cut back is fine most brides do not have a decorator.....and you are having a house built for you that you will spend your married life together
the wedding is only one day the marriage is forever so maybe you guys can compromise on this one....

yes the house is for us we just purchased land, and we will be meeting with builders, we cant decide between a log home or a ranch, and i am excited for all this, i guess i'll just have to pull the decorating together myself, i figured instead of chair covers i could put tulle around the back of the chairs w/ a pretty bow, i'll figure it out, i know he wants us to have a beautiful home in the country. thanks for all your comments.
