So upset and hurt...I need to get his off my chest!

Thank you everyone! I appreciate your kindness and posts...I know that this is not the worst thing to happen but I admit I am extremely sensitive and things get to me easily

I am not in my brothers but he is in mine. I can understand your hurt if they are having a big wedding. They are having two people so I am not hurt. Sorry!!! I hope it works out for you!

That is exactly how I feel rejected...which is one is the worst things to feel

stupid question - do you think your brother just assumes you know you are in the wedding? i never asked my brother, but he knew he was. could this be the case?

Nope because I asked him and he had no answer for me....I thought that was what he was getting at BUT nope..he told me to call his FI..no thanks!

I know Its very upsetting and I feel this is taking away from me enjoying the last 2 1/2 months that I have of my engagement...I don't know if it sounds bratty it probably does and I know my wedding is NOT the center of the universe ...BUT I just wish that he had waited just 1 stinkin week...just 1 week...BUT no!

i would just talk to him staraight up. and don't let him tell you to talk to his fi, b/c he is your brother, not her.

is she really b it chy? maybe she is just pulling weight and won't let him have you in the wedding?

Kathleen.. Sweetie.. I know what you are going through.. I have been through this twice in one year... finding out that both my FH's cousins did not ask me to be in their BP (My FH is in both of their weddings ). I know how much it hurts.. Its kind of like a slap in the face rip your heart out kind of feeling, I know , I eventually got over it, but I will certainly never forget the way I felt when I asked his cousin to be in my BP only for her to turn around to me and say... 'Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't going to ask you'.. Sucky feeling. My satisfaction is hearing her tell me how her bridesmaids & MOH are doing anything for the wedding. Im always there for her to talk to.. Im always asking her about the wedding, and IM ALWAYS reminding her that If she needs anything.. IM HERE for her.. just to make her relaize that Im here for her more then her own bridesmaids.

Kat, If it makes you feel any better.. my brother never actually 'formally' asked me to be in his BP either... I felt exactIy the way you do right now. I found out that I was in his BP at his engagement party when he told me that he wanted a picture with the whole bridal party & told me & my FH to get in the pic. I guess that was their way of asking us

Im sure that they didn't get around to asking you yet.. If they dont ask you, yes thats messed up. I would just give it a little more time

I can understand your hurt, Kathleen!!! Maybe they are waiting for your day to be over before asking you due to stress, etc?

cheer up if you're not in it, there wedding won't be as nice as yours i know if hard with family. i don't even know my sil. she wasn't in our party. he's married 4 yrs. she didn't even offer help with anything. she wasn't even at the shower or bachelorette party. we're here for u
