so school starts on monday and not only am i scared and nervous that im not going to do well but now i have the burden of 11k in more loans added to the 30k i already have in school loans.. and planning a wedding alone since FH has no brain of his own.. its getting to be too much... this whole loan thing is realyl making me mad.... its called a STUDENT loan... why in the HELL are they charging me 10.25% INTREST????? thats outrageous!!! are they insaine... there is no way the govt or anyone else is trying to make school more affordable for ANYONE!!!... im sorry this is so pointless but im sure someone else out there feels the same way i do!! thanks for listening or not!

I have a $30,000 undergrad loan, I payed cash for my masters, and I think I will pay that loan till I die, but remember, it does bring good things and one day you will be making a lot of money and look back and laugh.

i know it totally ***** now..... think about it... your first year as a nurse you will make back all of your loans and it will totally be worth it.... dont worry... you will make your money back!!!!!

its a student Career Training loan through sallie mae...they SUCK i hate them but its the only company the school accepts... and Western suffolk boces in north port

I am in your boat megan. I went back to school this past september and we're paying for the tuition out of pocket because I already have $30,000 in school loans and don't want to add to it (with 10% interest). I'm also doing all the wedding planning because FH is an accountant and is too stressed from work right now to help me plan the wedding. It is so stressful I had my first panic attack in december. What I keep telling myself is that right now it's a struggle but it's because your sacrificing to have a better future for you, your FH and your children.

thanks jess.. i keep telling myself just about the same thing.. but i feel like its so not worth it at this point.. im realyl cramming everything into such little time.. this is the reason i wanted to get on a plane and get married months ago with my closest family and friends.. but FH wanted this big huge wedding that HE WONT HELP PLAN!!

It is worth it, if you decided not to go you will end up being very upset with yourself. It is a lot to take on but it's better to get it over with earlier. It is not right that your FH won't help plan the wedding with you, especially because it is what he wanted, have you tried to talk to him about that? I'm sure if you express your concern about all the tasks you're taking on (and a possible nervous breakdown) he will understand.

ive tried.. and hes like i cant go and do flowers or invites.. i said no i want to do that stuff with you.. but you could CALL THE FREEKIN CHURCH THAT YOU SAID YOU WOULD DO MONTHS AGO... and he can do the limos and all that stuff.. hes starting to drive me mad... so i said well things will just STOP happening when i dont do them and hell realize sooner or later!

you should consolidate. and personally I HATE sallie mae so I consolidated with nelnet. I think they are great.
My rate is 3.5%and i have them taking it out of my savings so i am never late. ANd by doing this i get a reduction i think after a yr of ontime payments.

I'm so sorry. I know sometimes it's hard to see the positives of going back to school, but know that it will pay off in the end. An education is priceless.
It sounds like you got a personal loan through a bank rather than a government loan like direct loans. bank rates are normally higher see if you can do direct loans or sallie mae
Don't stress we can handle anything, if we can have a baby then you get def. get through this.
