Ok this is going to sound ridiculous and petty expecially being that I'm really not one to complain. - But I just picked up my envelopes from the calligraphy girl - THEY ARE HORRIBLE !!! I could have done a better job in my own handwriting !!!! She showed me a sample which looked really nice, I just said I wanted it MUCH smaller and with a finer point pen. She said no problem. - Well, she did the exact opposite of what I asked her to do - And I didn't say anything there while I was writing the check b/c I felt bad b/c it's my sister's friend's sister (Got that?) but I PAID her, it's not like she did them for nothing........so NOW what do I do ?? Am I stuck w/ these ?? Not to mention the fact that the absolute latest they can go out is next week which is the 6 week mark and they told me between 8 and 6 weeks but there was so many problems just w/ the invitation those took forever. - Sorry to be a whiner..........I am just SO SO SO disappointed !!!

mail them and move on...forget about them as best you can. believe me, i would be upset, but what can you do? you've got to get them out!! put them in the mail tomorrow and get them out of your life, out of your house!! move on! start getting the responses, and focus on another task, something you love....the programs, the menus, something else that needs to be conquered. besides like most folks say, even the prettiest envelope will end up in the rubbish.
as far as the calligrapher, if anyone ever asked and gave me the opportunity to vent i would!

Sorry to hear about your envelopes. I would just send them out b/c you have to. Then focus on something else... When you get the chance to photo them, post it and maybe after some other opinions, you won't feel so bad. Maybe other people will not be so critical.

people don't even look at the front they just rip it open and look at the inside. i sent mine out on friday and everyone told me that the invitations were so nice. They never mentioned anything about all the time i spent on the addresses. so don't worry about it.

Don't worry. They will most likely get thrown in the trash after people open it up and see your beautiful invitations anyway. I'm not trying to be a downer, but I know myself and I just chuck the envelope. I'd just send them and remember that they are only envelopes.

I think you should just send them. I understand it *****.. and you payed to have them done, so you deserve them to be great! however, in all honesty, most people won't even take a second look at the writing, they will rip into the invites to see when/where!
Don't worry about it. No one will notice.
But I am sorry that this happend to you!
