I've posted quite a few times about getting some help with canceling my date at Leonard's of Great Neck on Feb 16, 2007. I'm getting no responses. It's driving me nuts and scaring me. We will lose out on a large deposit if nobody books. I get so peeved when I see so many posts about tv shows and nosy coworkers with so many responses and I'm getting nada. Sorry to vent- It's so frustrating though. We just can't go through with it right now- more personal and critical family matters heed our attention.

wow very thorough advice Thanks. I'll consider it. I think the issue is that 1.---i'm cutting it close with the date and 2- most of these sites are for brides who have already booked. It's the networking I need to work on. I'm so ready to go to city hall, get two hot dogs and a coke, and call it a day. Thank you all.

Definitely post on the '08 boards like someone mentioned (you never know who may be looking to get hitched sooner rather than later). Don't get discouraged... if someone is interested, they'll post or FM you. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

Sorry, to hear that they did that to you. That is my fear too. I am putting down large deposits so I can pay these things off, but what if God forbid the event cannot go on.
Some one posted yesterday I believe that she just got engaged and wondered if she could pull it off my Feb. I referred her to your post.

There was someone posting on here like yesterday I think who wanted to know if it would be crazy to plan her wedding for this February and she just got engaged. Maybe you could track her down somehow and it can work out for both of you.

i dont think mavirella doesnt want to get married at Leonards at all, otherwise im sure he can postpone and they would use the money towards the future date

thank you all. it's all a money issue for us right now. we have been really trying to have a much smaller affair at a friend's home or a restauranmt with just close family and friends. like 25 ppl.
