My MOH mentioned to me a month or so ago if I would mind having my bridal shower in her new home. It would still be a surprise but she wanted to know if I felt comfortable having it in her new home. I thought that was so thoughtful of her and was very excited. This weekend I am visiting her to finally finish up my wedding invitations and play catch up over a bbq and some drinks. Unfortunately, just found out her FIL is diagnosed with a motor neuron disease (ALS) I am so devestated and just don't know how do you continue to celebrate after hearing this news.

So Sad... sending lots of love and hugs your way. I watched a family member deteriorate from ALS. Just remember no one who truly loves and cares about you wants you to stop from celebrating your happiness and the beginning of this new chapter in your life.

Sorry to hear about this, I'm not very familiar with ALS but no illness is ever a happy occasion. My prayers are with you, your friend and her family. You are a good friend, and hopefully your wedding will help keep your friend in somewhat better spirits during such a difficult time.
