So We Took The Foccus test....and scheduled pre-cana

...And I feel like we're gonna fail marriage! I know the test says you can't fail, but I feel test scoring people are going to be all judgmental

'You two want to get married...? Um, no.'

I swear I think we answered every question opposite!

What church are you in? We are taking FOCCUS in September. I remember when my sister did it and some of the questions were a bit crazy. They disagreed on a lot too, so don't worry too much. Any words of advice for someone that hasnt done it yet?

We took it online.

We're scheduled for Pre-Cana 11/7-11/8 at Kellenberg HS.

Just take it honestly, and try not to over-think it.

And watch for the wording on the questions:

dont worry about the score, our deacon said the point of the test is to get u and ur FH to talk....we have not taken it yet

it totally depends on the priest... my priest was all:

I get it young people are different now, and we'd really like them back in the church..

I think he was surprised we weren't living together, and that we had no plans to until marriage or right before.

On the other hand, FHs church is pretty old-school and makes me feel like a big old sinner every time I walk in there (I am... but still!)

yeah our priest seemed cool but then again Dave and I dont live together either and wont till a few months before the wedding.

oohhboy.. waiting to hear from my church as to when foccus and pre-cana will be scheduled. We asked about 'the test ' actually and my priest said it was just to let us know where we were going to have problems in the future. After leaving we had a good laugh ...a test is going to tell us what we are going to fight about in the future!? interesting!

we were supose to take it tonight but we switched churches.
it just brings topics to the table to be talked about before you get married. its good to find out before rather than after. im sure you guys did great

they ask you the same 5 questions like 20 different ways.....i was getting so fed up that i must have answered a question 'wrong' i responded that i thought FH had a drinking problem!!!

We took it online individually. At some pre-canas you can take it there. We signed up at

Pre-Cana

I made the mistake of calling FH right after we took it to compare answers.

As is stands they will be counseling me about my addiction to TV, and my love for spending... Thanks, FH!

I took the test last night and FH took it this morning. The questions are a little crazy but I am glad to have gotten it over with. We are also scheduled for pre canna in november at kellenberg :)

What is Foccus... we're scheduled for the two pre-cana sessions, but i have no idea what Foccus is... Is it mandatory if you're getting married in a catholic church?
