So weird it finally happened

FH's dad asked him about the prenup.
We both knew this was coming and we have talked about it plenty of times before, so FH already has a lawyer and their lawyer will start the contract pretty soon.
Now i have to get a lawyer, i started searching online but if anyone knows of anyone that is really good, please FM me the info.

I am not sad, i just want it to be quick, and painless and of course fair to both of us. and then i want to put it away and never have to look at it ever again

I have a question about whether or not to get a prenup. Unfortunately both my parents have passed so I have some liquid assets and half a house that was left to me. Do I need a prenup or does he have no rights to it if it was before we were married?

I have to tell you that I respect you both for doing this. I know it is not easy and some people would never agree to it but you can't blame his father for wanting to protect what was there before you and that you are understanding to that says a lot about you.

I know someone who the prenup broke up the engagement but that was because it wasn't fair and the FIL's were screwing with her and her future.

Hopefully you will never have to worry about who gets the dog!!!!!!!!!


Thank you so much, its not easy but since we have been open about it since we were together, we have a very honest and open relationship, and i can not blame his dad for wanting to protect his business and inheritence, and all his assets stocks bonds etc.



Good luck with it. Since you have been open and honest about it all hopefully it will be quick and painless and then you can just put it behind you.
