i showed one of my bridesmaids the dress i posted on here and of course there was something she didnt like about it, but i can not find one thing that i dont like about it. Everytime I show her a dress there is always something wrong with it and she always has something to say about it. She wants them in black, when I DONT and its the summer I want a fun color. What do I do? I wanted to make everyone happy but then i am upset! Help!!!!

ok .......IMO when you agree to be in a wedding party ....you agree to wear the most beautiful gown or the most hideous gown....i have been in weddings were the dresses were not something i would have chosen.....but it wasnt my wedding or my choice.....choose the dress that you want! if she reallly cares about the dress that much then she is not putting your impt day first.....good luck1

This is your day Sheri!! If you love that dress then you should have that dress in your wedding! You can't always please everyone! You will have to put your foot down and say I'm sorry but I really love this dress and I do not want the color black for the dresses. She should be honored to be a part of your wedding party and not have a say in the color you choose! It's yours and FH's day girl! And it's YOUR wedding!! You pick your colors!

I think you should just get something you like. Do you have other Bridesmaids? What do they think? If she is the only one giving you grief, I would just go with what everyone likes. I don't think you will be able to please her.

I would just explain that it is a dress that you like and you can ask her what it is she doesn't like about it. Maybe then you can pinpoint something that you both can agree on and be happy with.

i agree- i had the same situation with mine since i have two girls on the thinner side and two girls on the meatier side- they ALL had to agree on what style i just choice the color ......one bm didnt come as of yet ( and we went back in feb) so tough for her if she doesnt like it- majority rules and guess what you werent there the first time around

If it is just the color she has a problem with tell her tough. But, if she is uncomfortable about the style like one of my bms is, I gave her the option of a halter top or a drape to cover her arms. I also had them try on my orig color and it washed everyone out. I was like no wonder they were complaining. You want to make sure your color compliments everyone. In the end it is your wedding and I'm sure the dresses you picked are beautiful and not some hideous 1980's dress

This is your wedding and you should pick what you want.... dont worry about everyone else.. This is your day!!! and you shoudl enjoy it and have what YOU want !!!! dont let anyone try and talk you out of having what you want...

Thanks for the advice, I am going to make her try it on. Maybe she will feel different when it is on. I am sure it will all work out.

I agree with everyone - majority rules - and its your choice .. BM's have to agree to wear whatever YOU decide ... she should be happy that your considering her advice ... but you dont nessicarily have to take it ...

Dresses look so different when you try them on. Definitely get her to try on a few. She will feel differently.

I agree,, I mean I was conceious when i looked at bm dresses because we have all been stuck as a bm b4 in wedding with some hornedous color & made us look like cr*p,, So when I went looking i kept that in mind & said to myself, would I want to wear this.. I wouldnt want any of my BM to wear something i wouldnt want to be in myself,, But she sounds very stubborn,,
Me, Id be like, u wear that , or Ill make it easy for you , , you can wear black, if you like, but u will be a guest not a bm,,,

Really-in all honesty you are not going to be able to make everyone happy! DONT TRY!
I have picked out dress after dress after dress and one of my BMs keeps finding something wrong with it.
My personal opinion is that if you complain about everything dont be mad whne I put you in lime green with puffy sleeves and then cut you from the BP!!!

I am going to take into consideration everyone's body type. I am not going to get something so ugly because I have to see those dresses in my album for the rest of my life.
I'd say listen to everyone but you and your MOH have the final say.
