So what does everyone think of this?

I am sending out Message in a Bottle wedding invites to go with my beach theme..summer type wedding. The only thing is it is about 100 of them and shipping will kill me, so I was thinking of delivering them to everyone in the area and only mailing the ones in like california....what are your opinions on this???

well i think it would be ok, but some things you should take into account are how long it will take you and how far you will be going so that you can figure with time and gas if it is more cost effective than delivering them....other than that i think its fine

The furthest house is 1/2hr away and it has other houses in the same area....otherwise 5or ten minutes

A friend did these for a party and everyone got a kick out of them. They are expensive to mail though. She hand delivered most of them to people in the area, it was different having the doorbell ring and the bride standing there with a box in her hand for you.
You could definetly do it for the area but I would suggest recruiting as many of you willing friends and family to help out.

I would hand delovery them...it definately is different and something everyone would remember.

My MOH is so excited about it!!!! She said it will be like HS when we toliet papered everyones houses, only now we will be delivering invitations.

My best friend did this for her wedding last August and it did cost her a lot in postage. I would def. hand deliever it to people who are close.
PS
It is an awesome idea, something that people will always remember. She put sand in hers and when I opened it, the sand went everywhere...but I thought that was fun!
