So what would you do??

So what would you do??

So my dad's twin sister (my aunt) adopted twins from Italy (whom I LOVE). I was thinking a few months back to include them, but after spending time with them, FH and I decided that a wedding my size may scare them. Its bad enough our RB and FG are going to end up crying or hiding the entire time.

Sidenote: We had our FG and RB picked out before the girls were adopted. The day they got adopted was an Unbelievable happy day for me.

My dad opened his mouth (can't be mad at him for this but it put me in a bind) to his sister about the twins in the wedding. Now there is all this speculation that they are in it, and its me in the middle. Well here is the problem.

Dad says: 'Just ask you Aunt. Let her decide if they are old enough to walk down the aisle. Besides, its the year anny that they've been in this country..Do me the favor and ask please'

Another side note: My daddy has contributed ALOT to this wedding. I mean a lot. Fh and i paying for it mostly, but my dad picked up a small portion of it. Plus the shower. Plus the RH Dinner (in his backyard). Plus he bought my veil but I'm not suppose to know. I'm his first born. And I think this is important to him.

FH says 'NO! We have enough people in the wedding party (20 something) and I don't want all these kids running around. It's an adult only reception. Besides, they will be petrified and I'll feel horrible that they are crying.'

I am torn. Because as much as I want them to be in it, I am nervous that it may be too much. Not to mention I am a push over for my daddy, and I hate to 'disappoint' him. But FH and I fought over this before, and he is stubborn about it.

What do I do? I mean, I have an FG already, so I prob give the twins kissing balls or something.

Like Its tough. B/C I'm stuck having to upset one of the 2 men I care most about, and that kills me. (Like i need this stress!) And trust me, I am not one for this right now, not after the shyt week I had.

One more thing, my aunt is my Godmother. Add more fuel to fire. And the bp is mostly FH's family and friends ( my is family are like 5 people...) Now I'm feeling guilty. HELP!

tell your fh that you'd like more of your family in the bp since it's mostly his and that it would mean a lot to you if they were in it. then call your ask, explain the situation and your concerns and see what she says

Awww I'd ask her and let her decide. For all you know, she might say thanks but no thanks!

tough situation. Maybe talk to your aunt and tell her you would like to include them in the wedding but you are worried they will not enjoy it and end up crying and ask her whether she thinks it would be best for the twins to be excluded from the bridal party.

I really don't know what to say about FH not wanting them in the bridal party. So sorry you're in this position.

But how do I deal with Fh. I really don't want to fight him for this but I think it may come down to it...

You just need to get him to understand that this is important to you. I know it's going to be difficult since you've had arguments about this already.

honestly, i wouldnt include them just because i feel guilty. can your aunt walk down the aisle with them after your parents, gparents, etc. walk down? that way you can honor your aunt and her twins at the same time?

I hate to say it and stress you, but I think you have to include them. Especially since she is your godmother.

Maybe you will luck out and she will say that she doesnt think it is a good idea cause they will cry.

Good luck!

I would ask them... they mean so much to you and your family. I think your aunt would be so happy. She can decide if they are too young

It sounds like you really want to put them in, but you dont want to fight with FH. I think you have to decide what YOU really want and then be cear about it with FH. Since the BP is mostly his friends and family, he should understand why this is important to you.
