Don't worry yet, you really have plenty of time. How far along are they?

Re: So when do I start to worry...?
have you spoken to them to see what their 'new' finish date is? If they are just a month behind schedule than that doesnt effect you at all....i think you need to find out what your dealing with first before you start thinking about freaking out

I would call them and tell them what you know just so that you can be prepared worst case scenario!!!

Oh that poor girl! Didn't you say that they're owned by another place? Hopefully they'll accomodate her there. I would call, you have every right to be a neurotic bridezilla about this!

First things first dont freak yet. Call them first and very nicely talk to the manager or whoever you were dealing with and ask them about their projected new completed date. And take it from there. If your not getting a good vibe from him or you start to get the feeling hes just telling you what you want to hear I would THEN maybe start to freak and htink about looking at other halls.
But remember if they arent done you can sue the hell outta them! =))) hehehe (just a lil bright side!)

I would go to their office in person and get those things sorted out and maybe have a rider put in your contract about getting reaccomodated.
However, you have some months and I'm sure they'll be open by then. My wedding is a week or two after yours and I'm hoping to stay there the night before and after since my wedding is in Atlantic Beach.

Re: So when do I start to worry...?
here is my honest opinion and you might not want to hear it. I work in construction and have been in the business for over 10 years now, Not a single one of the projects I have been involved in ended on time. And for restaurants and anything that will have large events in them it is much harder to get the certificate of occupancy because if some emergency were to happen you are dealing with a larger mass of people. Also the Bd of health has to do the inspections for the kitchen and they will fail the inspection once or twice....everyone does.
I would go down to them and talk to them. See what they are saying for completion and then add time to that date. FM me if you want any help on things to ask or talk after they give you their date.

Wow, definitely go immediately and try to sort it out!
But have a backup plan of other RHs to look at. Worst case scenario, and I do mean worst case, is that maybe if you do have to look elsewhere, you'll get a kick azz deal for booking 5 months out.

Yeah they own the Atlantica, but I'm sure they're booked there...our contract doesn't say anything about being 'reaccomodated' there....
I sent her an email for directions yesterday for my invitations...and nada.....crickets...crickets...
I'd go there in person.... people have a certain way of phrasing things in emails or over the phone to smooth things over. I'd want them to say it to my face.
