i do i do! i realized as i made up the invitations for my office annual holiday party (very fancy ones might i add) that i am so in the wrong feild! DIY's, wedding planning, party planning just makes me all warm and makes my heart happy! :)

i always thought i would want to get into this and that it would be soooo fun, but honestly, I think its really stressful and idk what kind of bridezillas i'd possibly have to deal with

MEEEEEEEEEEE! actually after my wedding is over, i'm going to start looking into this and finding out about where to start. This is serisouly something i would love doing for the rest of my life and then I definetly wouldn't mind going to work everyday!!

my best friend and i were just saying 'why did we give up our child hood dream' ... when we were 7 we said we would 'do weddings' all the time, such suckers we are and went into totally different directions! i def want to look into this as a side venture!

I do! My friend (another 2011 bride :) and I are trying to break into doing this now. It's a lot of work, but so satisfying to see everything come together

ITA...I don't think I could deal with the bridezillas. I truly enjoy planning my own wedding, but I think it would be really stressful if I had to work with really difficult brides.

i did it for six years and i am effin shot!!!
I was working for a couple off premise catering companies, and I wanted to shoot myself. Yes its glamorous, and 'fun' but when it comes down to it you really have to be on your game and when one thing gets messed up, be it your mistake or someone else's its really hard to take.
Ive been screamed at when the grooom sent me the tables were set up wrong, but it turned out the groom sent me the wrong floor plan. even though it was totally his fault and he admited it, it put a bad taste in the brides mouth for the rest of the night and she was a raging biutch to me. she didnt say goodbye and she didnt tip me.
sometimes i felt like i was volunteering instead of working because people didnt pay me. I had to argue with people to hand over money. Im like this is your wedding not mine. I almost cancelled a couples wedding because they kept bouncing checks, and tried to pay a personal check the day before the wedding, when their contract clearly stated 10 days prior with cash or bank check.
overall it was wonderful and amazing, but right now with this economy it is not a wise idea to start up a business like this. the only people that are thriving are those that have been in the industry forever. I was making no money, and the good profitable parties were few and far between
i do miss it though so I will offer advice to anyone who wants! (free of charge i swear~I might hold you to buy me a drink at the next g2g though!)
