So...about registries...

Here is my advice.....

Make your registry, tweak it, and then change the password and give it to your mom.

Don't look on the website. Pretend your computer has it blocked. Actually, ask your IT people to actually block it!

Back in August I finalized my registries and just stopped looking at them..... which is why I was SOOO thrown off about my shower.

Ok, that was 'old' bride Leese's advice of the day.

And yes, this is directed towards Hollie at the moment.

Heyyyy. . Thanks Lisa! I am trying so hard not to look but I gave in yesterday. Nothing has been bought yet, so I guess the invites haven't gone out. FH keeps telling me to get my shower outfit together.

Good advice Leese, the only bad thing, I don't have the willpower to stop looking!!!

I will be just as surprised to see who bought me what bc I already know what I am getting

I know my shower isn't for sometime but things have already been bought, so I am already thrown off!

good advice, it's too early for me - but I will not be a registry checker.

But can't you still see what was bought if you view as a guest?

i would like to add my advise. register for most of your stuff at bbb because that is the stuff on my registry that really went. i wish i registered for more of my stuff there.

that's great advice. I want to be surprised....if not by the date then by what people actually purchased.

I have to say though, Im not a 'peeker'. I cant see myself logging on to check what gifts came off. That TOTALLY ruins the surprise for me

I agree...we registered at BBB and Macys and I saw that some things were ALREADY purchased at BBB...

Thanks, but I disagree, it is fun to watch the gifts being purchased. There will still be the element of surprise at the shower, who got you what

Plus, you registered for the gifts, so when they buy you the gifts it is really not a urprise any way, they get you what you choose

We haven't even started our registry yet. I was thinking maybe we should do it B4 the holidays. Maybe we'll get some for x-mas too. Thanks for the info. I'm a peeker!! I wouldn't be able to resist.
