soap scum ?

What is the best way to get rid of it? My teant moved out and it seems he NEVER cleaned the shower

I need to clean it up before showing it to other potential tenants.

If you have access to one of those steam cleaner machines I suggest trying that. MIL has one and I've used it. It is amazing!

My shower was covered in soap scum when i moved in....i tried so many things and what worked the best was Soap and Scum Remover from Bed Bath annd Beyond. You spray it on and let it sit for a little bit and then use the rough side of a sponge and it works great. Good luck!!

Give Kaboom a try! It's in a purple bottle...you can't miss it! (available at Home Depot and Bed, Bath & Beyond.)

Spray the stuff on, wait 10 minutes, then give the shower a scrub. Rinse, then squeegee.

I love the stuff! It's the only thing that I have found that works at getting rid of soap scum.

I use SPRAY Commet. It's non abrasive and works really well. I spray it on the dry tile, let it set for a few minutes and then go in with a wet sponge and wipe down the walls and rinse. No scrubbing at all. If it is REALLY bad like you said, you may have to repeat. I use this on our shower all the time and its so easy - no my scrubbing and the tile/tb really shines. Even DH doesnt mind cleaning the shower now (well, once in a while anyway )

I used ZAP and it was great - You can get it at home depot - Even ZEP which is the home depot brand works great too. No scrubbing will be involved either....

I like this product too. I also went out today to BBB and got Kaboom. We will be moving out of here soon, and I want to leave the apt. 'nice', esp. the bathroom!

I think I just read somewhere that vinegar is supposed to be good for removing soap scum.

I use this as well and it doesn't contain bleach so it much safer for me to use right now.

Plus seriously I put it on, let it sit, then use a squeegie and everything is gone!

Edited to add... Spray Comet...

There's that new Arm & Hammer scrubber for showers that looks pretty good--it has a pole so you don't actually have to *touch* anything. Always key in my mind
