Some flower reviews

Hey guys, sorry for the delay but as promised here is my mini-review of my meetings with Flowers by Burton and Pristine Events (a Sand Castle recommended florist). Before the review I’ll just list what I will need for the wedding. We are using the SC’s crystal tree for our centerpieces, so we didn’t even discuss them with the florists. Here is my list:
Bridal bouquet and throw away bouquet
2 MOH bouquets
7 BMs bouquets
3 corsages for mothers and grandmother
FH’s boutonniere
2 Best men boutonnieres
11 groomsmen boutonnieres
3 boutonnieres for fathers and grandfather
2 flower girl basket
Ceremony flowers
Memorial table display

We met with John, who was a SWEETHEART! You can totally tell that he loves what he does, and the flowers around the office were beautiful. He showed us pictures of bouquets and ceremony things that can be done and I felt very welcome there. Our quote was around 1800 and the only requirement is to put 50 down to hold the date. The rest of the payment is due 3 days before. He also does not charge based on flower type, which is awesome! My only issue is that he cannot travel to my mom’s house to drop everything off because it is over the bridge. I understand his point that there could be traffic and it would hold up his delivery guys, but it was upsetting. My FH and I need to discuss what to do.

Pristine Events
We met with Arielle who was very nice and totally easy to work with. She was very detail oriented and we discussed every detail of each bouquet and bounced ideas off each other. We told her we had a budget around 2K, but are very willing to go above if it is something I love. Interesting, she did not give me a quote at the table. I believe it is because she needs a “flower count” (her words not mine), so I do believe she will charge based on flower type.

So we have a lot to think about for flowers.
We have an apt with Distinctive Floral Designs tomorrow.

If you don't mind me asking what is included in the 1,800? I have no clue what flowers are going to cost me. I know were are renting the center pieces but I want to add some fresh flowers to them and I need bouquets and boutonnieres, little thing like that.

The quote you received from Burton's included only what you described above? or did it also include centerpieces?

I am sorry to say but I don't thinkt hats a good quote bfrom B*rtons at all. I had this:

Brides bouquet
2 maid of honor bouquets
8 bridemaids bouquets
4 corsages
flower girl
14 boutineirres 7 high centerpieces
7 low centerpieces
rose petals for all tables and cake tables

$2100 from B#urtons

Why would they quote you $1800 without any centerpieces at all?

Maybe because of the ceremony flowers? Those can be big displays.
