Some makeup questions
Is everyone's moms having their makeup done also? I think my mom said yes but FMIL is undecided. The other problem is: I was originally having a friend of mine do my makeup for free for me the day of the wedding. She's pretty good at it but I wasn't totally convinced. She was also only going to charge $30 for any other family/bridal party getting makeup done.
Well she's driving me crazy as a friend and I really don't even want her to do it anymore, I want to have it done at my salon where they use Smashbox cosmetics and I know it will look great. She used like too much glitter and she can act so pretentious I can't even take it
Anyway, is there some way to 'fire' her? I mean if I have to suck it up I know I can and I can tell her exactly what I want and I can even fix it myself if I need to since I know my way around makeup. I know another girl on here a while back was considering tell someone that they won a free package or I can say that my salon offered it free
I think that would probably work. When she offered to do it it wasn't even a question she just jumped on it saying 'I'll do your makeup, come over and I'll do a trial!!'Ughhhh I sort of feel like I can't back out... I wish I never let her give me that trial hahah.
Edit to say: My other idea is that me and my mom will buy our own cosmetics, and I'll just give it to her to apply this way she can't douse me in sparkles again lol. She can apply it well I just don't want her having free reign.

Some makeup questions
It is YOUR wedding! If you're unhappy with the way your friend did your makeup don't let her! Sorry but I would never risk someone messing my face up on my biggest day just so they don't get offended. Just be honest and tell her you want a professional artist to do your makeup since it is a big day. Have her do your bridal shower makeup if anything!

Re: Some makeup questions
Your day, your way!! I'd tell her your salon package includes it and you'd love for her to do your makeup for the rehearsal dinner or something other than the wedding.

Re: Some makeup questions
These are good ideas!I'm wondering if I was just mad because in our personal life she isn't the greatest friend and like I said acts really pretentious.
I can't stand it. I'll do a trial at my salon (I need a hair trial anyway) and if I love it so much more then I will do that. Having her do my makeup for the shower is a great idea!

THIS! It isn't very farfetched to think that if you are loyal to a specific salon they would throw in your bridal makeup if you book you hair and BPs hair and makeup with them. You deserve to call the shots on your day and look how you want to look, not how someone else thinks you should look.
