My mom told me that one of her friends went to BB&B to buy me stuff for my shower, and apparently one of the things on my registry she didn't like, so she bought the one that she liked instead Isn't that odd....I mean, I made my registry because I wanted people to buy me the things I WANT ...not what they want! now, I have a gift coming to me that wasn't even on my registry to return! Some people.......

well, that way I am making myself think about it is that I registered for a cheaper version of something to make it easier on my guests and she bought me the more expensive one most likely its not true, but I can hope

I think that sometimes people forget that it is a gift. No one has to buy what you exactly what you want--it's what they would like to give you. Personally, I think that registries are a great idea. It certainly makes shopping a lot easier for me than to wander up and down the aisles trying to figure out what the bride and groom would like. But if someone chooses to buy something else, that is their choice. Say thank you and then go and return it (at least you know where they got it from!).

its ok you can exchanged it or if she told them it was a registry and added it on ( that happens it automaticlly gets added to your registry if the registry is scanned) you can return it for cash!

yeash but still you take the time to register so you get things that you want..i think people should understand that! My friends wedding 1/2 the stuff she got WASNT ON HER REGISTRY she had to exchange soooooooooooooo much stuff! yes its nice that they got you a gift but c'mon registries arent a new thing people should get you what you want...i dont think you are being wrong at all!

Just remember, back in the days......there were no registries. I understand the point of them but I also think it takes away alot of the surprise. Be thankful for whatever you get. I remember at mine...many, many. many moons ago...I got a $5 candy dish from Woolworth's which was a discount store. At least I was surprised! LOL
