So I've never really gotten mean comments throughout my wedding planning... But I guess there's a first for everything!
I'm working on a project with one of my co-workers, and out of no where she says, 'I had a small wedding ring to begin with too. If you got it from this jeweler, they'll give you a credit for how much you purchased it for as long as you upgrade to something at least twice as expensive.'
WHAT?!?
First of all, I happen to like my ring and don't have to plans to 'upgrade' it. FH picked it out by himself, and I think he did pretty good. Granted it isn't the largest stone we could have gotten, but I don't have to get out a magnifying glass to see it either!!!!
Pay no mind. People are very ignorant sometimes. And tell her that size does NOT matter with diamonds! its the clarity, cut, and all that good stuff.

You're ring is beautiful. FH actually told me that I can upgrade my ring later on if I want to. I was like 'what are you nuts. This is my ring. I wouldn't want to change it.' I know that it is a personal preference, but my FH picked it out and it shows a special time in our history. Why would I want to alter that?
As far as your co-worker, tell her to stick it!

seeems like your co-worker is the one who's upset about the size of her own... so she thinks everyone else with that size must also be unhappy... my center stone is under a carat and i love it... fh got a better quality stone and a platinum band... i couldnt have been more thrilled... tell her that sux that she feels that way about her own but that you love yours

That is a beautiful ring. She needs to keep her opinions to herself. Not everyone has the same materialistic desires. If she needed an upgrade for her to be happy, so be it. Most people don't.

Your ring is gorgeous and your FH did a wonderful job getting you something unique and special! Your co-worker is nuts.
Your ring is actually very simlar to mine with the three stones, only my center stone is brilliant round, not square/princess, and I don't have stones around the band. I love my ring, and FH picked it out 100% on his own (and surprised the heck out of me with it!)
Some people are just stupid and don't know when to bite their tongue. Instead of saying nothing, they leak stupidity. I think I would've responded saying 'thanks for the suggestion, but I do love my ring and have no plans upgrading -- the ring, nor my wonderful FH'
