Re: Some pics =)
Welcome back Nicole.
the pics are great, I see you visited my favorite city, Siena!!!! I LOVE it there...I am trying to convince my fh to move there for a bit- we go enough (big soccer people ) but we'll see.
did you eat gelato! it's the best in the WORLD!
and for anyone planning a trip to Italy, I highly recommend booking your own trip and going off-season- you can get tix for $300 R/T on the internet (travelocity/expedia) and you can find nice, clean hotels for less than $100 (like Nicole said)
definitely worth it and not as expensive as you think (summer is more $$)

Re: Some pics =)
Thanks again everyone
And I have an old Sony 3.2 Megapixels CyberShot with a lousy zoom. Indoor pics aren't the best, but outdoor pics come out pretty good.
That night, the lightning was so frequent, I just held up the camera and kept taking pics - I got about 3 or 4 with lightning bolts in them.

if you went after your wedding. you would have a great time and the BEST pricing.
we usually go around thanksgiving to Milan to watch soccer. I've paid around $400 R/t and hotels are about $75 per night for a 3 star. use the internet!!!
the weather is about the same as it is here at that time (40's, maybe 50's), unless you want to go into the Alps, where it is colder.
It is also so nice to be there closer to Christmas, because it is celebrated so fully there. I have also been to Sicily over Christmas- it's a little more expensive in airfare, but it's much warmer (60's and 70's)

BUT you have to be careful of Venice at that time of year! They experience Aqua Alta. check this out
