SOME PIX TO SHARE FROM MY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

The town I grew up in, in Jamaica has an annual reunion picnic every year at Rockland County State Park the Sunday before Memorial day, for all those who use to live in my town in Jamaica and are now living here in the US or Canada or anywhere in the world. We were a very small close knit town, so every year the gathering seem to be getting bigger and bigger, its like being home again for a day.

People come from all over the US, Canada, Miami, some people even fly up from Jamaica to be there. Well this past weekend was the event and my family and I went and as you know, I never leave my camera I love taking pix Here are a few of my memories

This was a great day for me, I saw people I grew up with and went to school with since the age of 3 up to the age of 15 whom I had not seen in years. So the following pix are of my friends

This was a very exciting pix for me to take, this is my 3rd grade teacher who I have not seen in ages, the woman looks the same, I cannot believe she was there. Miss Lanaman

It is indeed a wonderful event, its so nice to know that even tho we are all over the world/country we still care enough about each other to want to spend time with each other. The great thing about this event too is that there is so much food and so much to do and eat. The weather was cloudy, but it did not rain. Thank goodness.
