I'm so sorry that you and your son are going to go through this. Even more so for your son who loves his daddy - even though you guys didn't make it, i'm sure he was a good dad. The upside, if it can be called that, is that many people are probably going to get a new lease on life because of the organs he can donate.
your whole family has all of my sympathy!
