If you are getting married at the hall are you doing a rehearsal?
If you did not do a rehearsal did everything work out OK? If you had to do it again would you have a rehearsal? If you did not do a rehearsal did you still have a dinner?
Did you have the rehearsal the day before or another time?
We are having about 40 adults and 6 kids. I am trying to estimate how long the dinner will be... how long was yours?

Re: Some rehearsal/rehearsal dinner questions
We still had a dinner to give out our gifts.
We never rehearsed but they were very thorough in telling us what to do and it went without a hitch. Besides my dad and I were the last ones so we followed them. LOL I felt bad for the first ones who went down. ; )

Re: Some rehearsal/rehearsal dinner questions
We got married at our site. We did have a rehearsal the day of the wedding about an hour before the ceremony. We still had a rehearsal dinner the night before, but we called it our Non-rehearsal dinner. I was a little worried about having the rehearsal the day of , but everything went perfectly.

Re: Some rehearsal/rehearsal dinner questions
We got married at the hall but had a rehearsal dinner to give out gifts. We didn't actually 'rehearse' because my hall couldn't accommodate a rehearsal on a Friday night (they had weddings). But the day of everything went fine - I think people know the drill by now. Walk slow, smile, and move to the side. Our dinner was scheduled 7-9 but ended up going until about 10:30. Good luck.

Re: Some rehearsal/rehearsal dinner questions
We didn't have a rehearsal b/c the hall wouldn't allow it, however, I had a small cocktail party a week before the wedding and invited just the bridal party. I gave them their gifts at that point. The Friday before the wedding, I hosted a dinner for my immediate family.
I had the dinner at Tellos in Huntington and they were great. They gave us a semi-private room and were VERY reasonably priced.
FM me if you want to know more info. regarding Tellos.

Re: Some rehearsal/rehearsal dinner questions
I am getting married at my hall on Friday and we are having a rehearsal Thursday at 5pm. Of course they all tried to convince me I didn't need it but I want one! Too many people in my bridal party don't know each other and I want everything to go smooth that day.
We are then having a dinner afterwards.

Re: Some rehearsal/rehearsal dinner questions
We are getting married at the hall, and will have our rehearsal there two days before the wedding. The maitre d' is going to be there to walk us through Everything. I think it will be good for everyone to get to know and be comfortable with him and the hall. Then, we're having dinner at a restaurant.
To estimate how long your dinner would be I would ask the restaurant(s) that you're thinking of having it at.

Re: Some rehearsal/rehearsal dinner questions
We got married at the hall on Saturday, so we had the rehearsal at the hall on the Thursday before the wedding....and it's a good thing we did, because there were some things that needed to be worked out....
then we had the rehearsal dinner at the hotel where we were staying, and it lasted about 3 hours i think
i am very glad we did what we did

Re: Some rehearsal/rehearsal dinner questions
we married at the hall, no formal rehearsal, still had the dinner. IT was 60 people for about 4 hrs to 'rent' the private room at the restaurant. We were fine without the rehearsal....would not change a thing (except for maybe the GM hitting the bar at 10am!!!!)

Re: Some rehearsal/rehearsal dinner questions
Our hall is letting us rehearse there the Thursday before. They also gave me a great price $20 per person for a buffet dinner there.
