I am so extremely sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you are going through right now. I think your idea is so beautiful and if you feel comfortable with it...you are her daughter...you should do it then. It is such a beautiful gesture and i think you should go ahead with it. All my love and support to you!!! You are in my prayers!

Do it. Your mother will be proud. People will be thinking of her that day no matter what (and you wouldn't want it any other way).
Good luck and may God bless you at this time.
I agree, your mom would be proud. I am so sorry for you and your family. People WILL be thinking of your mom no matter what so why not honor her & her memory. I think it's a beautiful gesture.

I am so sorry for your loss. I think your decision to honor your mother's memory in this way is beautiful. Both my father & FH's father are no longer with us. We are planning on doing a donation in each of their memories which will be displayed to the guests in the form of a Live Strong Bracelet for his father, and a bracelet from the Brain Aneurysm foundation for mine.

Oh gosh, I am so sorry that you lost your Mom. God, I wish there was something that I can say but instead let me give you a thousand and just as many prayers
My FH just lost his mother on Thursday unexpectedly and our wedding is in 2 weeks. We are in the same dilemma as you with walking that fine line between making the wedding another memorial and having a weddding. I think it is a great honor to include your mother as you mentioned. If your FH is having a hard time with it, maybe you guys can compromise. Maybe make the donation but skip the pin or vice versa. Unfortunately what we're being told is that no matter what, Mom is always going to be a part of the ceremony, it just can't be ignored no matter how long it's been. Making her a part of it all is a beautiful gesture.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My mother too, as well as her four sister all suffer from breast cancer. It's a hard struggle for women, and their families to bear w/. But b/c of your mom being such a stong individual to battle this disease out I think 'You Should' go ahead, and honor her w/ the donations.
In some form in fashion it will bring up some pain, but it will also bring joy to their eyes to remember such a wonderful person. With joy comes pain, and trust me the love for your mom will make joy overcome that pain.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I think the donation is a wonderful way to honor her memory, many couples do that nowadays for their loved ones. I understand your FH's concern, it will cause some sadness but I don't think it'll ruin your special day.

So sorry for your loss!
You should absolutely go for it. That is such a beautiful way to remember your mom and she would be so happy, I am sure. I am welling up with tears now!
I think your FH's concern is understandable, but I think you should talk to him more about how much it means to you. While it may bring tears to people eyes - it will be in a beautiful way and I think it will be very touching for the family.

With or without the pins, you and your family will naturally be upset on that date. I think you should honor your mom, it may make it easier knowing you've set aside a moment for her.

Re: Some Unfortunate Help
I am very sorry for your loss. I too am trying to incorporate the loss of my grandfather (who was a father to me) this past August in my April wedding.
the reality is that the absense of someone so close and important to you would be noticed regardless if attention is called to it. her physical absense will be felt, but the things you speak of call up her spirit, which will touch all of those that attend.
she will be watching you and embracing you and your guests on a day which undoubtably was very precious to her. your ideas are a wonderful way to let her, and everyone else, know that you know she is always with you all.
God Bless.
