Some weekend ups/downs to share
Sooo I got a call on Friday from the Jeweler that our rings are ready and he wanted us to come try them on. FH was taking the one he had in stock and having it stretched 1/4 size, and my ring is a family heirloom (my grandmother's platinum eternity band from 1939!!!!!)which he was reinforcing and sizing with a platinum band on either side.
Well my ring is SPECTACULAR. I tried to take a cell phone picture but it doesn't do it justice. My grandmother wore her ring for 40 years so it was very dull. He polished it and cleaned the diamonds and I could not believe how it sparkled. It's SOOOO beautiful!!!!! FH is happy with his ring as well. I can't wait to pick them up. Just soooooooo beautiful!
A few downs.
My guest list is dwindling. My cousins who I though were definitely coming told me on Easter that just my one cousin is going to come to the reception but his wife and kids are going to leave after the ceremony. Their older son has autism and he has been to family weddings before and is excited about the church, but big gatherings are a trigger for him, and he's been struggling with that lately, so they felt rather than having to all leave early, or having to have my cousin spend the whole time outside with him, that just my one cousin would come. I totally understand, but I will miss them AND it's 3 fewer in the 'yes' column.
Also, I got a facebook message from another cousin who got ym shower thank you but told me she did NOT get my wedding invitation. So now I am panicking that other people did not get my invitations. So tonight I have to re-send hers along with a B-list. I decided to invite some co-workers and see how it goes.
Anyway, that was my weekend. How was yours?
