Some words to the wise....
Dont ever get a your friend a job where you already work. It creates such problems and it tears your friendship apart.
I have a friend (one of my friends from high school) and i got her a job at the law firm where i work and now my job stinks. I know this might sound immature, but i will admit that im a jealous person and ever since she has come aboard (3 years ago) they forgot that i even exist. I used to be so valued there and now its the exact opposite. Its like she can do no wrong. Its actually quite sickening. The problem is, is that she is in my wedding party and today out of the blue (because she knows that I cant stand the favoritism they give her) she totally goes ballistic on me, totally embarrassing me in front of other people saying that im not a good friend because im jealous of her. I AM jealous and angry, but thats one emotion i just cant get past. I always try and reevalute things, but friggin jealousy gets me again.
Well, i just wanted to give advice to others about this. If i would have taken everyone elses advice i would never be in this situtation. Practically everyone i knew said do not get your friend a job their its just gonna tear you guys apart, and guess what, it totally did. I just hope we can get through this. Maybe i need to look for a new job. Actually, i do need a new job. I hate the place to begin with.
