I recently booked the Inn at New Hyde Park for my wedding and I know it is far in advance but I am looking to get ahead of the game and gain as much information as I can.
The Inn at New Hyde Park has three recommended hotels for an after party/room blocking:
The Inn at Great Neck
The Andrew Hotel
Viana Hotel & Spa
Does any one have any experience with these hotels? Any opinions are welcome!

Someone familiar with the Great Neck area
I stayed at the Viana for a wedding last winter and it was very nice. Updated, clean, nice bar area. They also offered a shuttle for guests (not sure if the couple had to pay or if they had to have a certain number of rooms booked to get it) and the couple chose to offer us breakfast in the morning (not sure what that cost them but we didn't stay for breakfast and went to ihop instead lol). Overall it was very very nice.
We also had an incident where one of our friends was coming from Jersey and spilled coffee all over herself in the car, had to stop at the Roosevelt Field mall to buy another, but they weren't stay at the hotel. FH called the hotel and gave them permission to give her a key to our room (we were already on our way to the venue at this point) so she could change and freshen up. They were very accommodating.

The Vienna is a great hotel. I've stayed there for several weddings and was always very happy. The inn at gn is not as nice but closer to nhp and ok. Don't use the andrew if your guests will need a shuttle or cabs. I used to work for their transportation company and they are horrible. I can't tell you how many people I heard of ripped off or crazy late for weddings
