someone help me out

If I have a car or house or property BEFORE I maried, is it now half his now that we are married?

Clive claims that my car is now OUR car (legally) because we are married.

I am not sure but I think that he doesn't have a legal claim to my car.

Not that it matters for anything big - we're just talking about it and he keeps calling my car 'our' car yet his car is HIS car.

Hmm.

Anyone know?

I would assume yes and that is why people sign pre-nups, right? I could be wrong, though.

I would think that would be big things like houses or big bank accounts but not a car...but maybe your right?

Just that he's so freakin SELF RIGHTEOUS about it. So all that I'VE worked for is now half his???? I dunno that bothers me.

NOt that I should be worried about him taking it from me...but how he phrases things...things that were once mine are now 'ours' but if it was before he met me, it's still 'his'.
