They said I sent back the Rsvp card but I forgot to write that my date is a vegetarian. So I need to request a meal. What kind of a meal do u request? Does that mean I have to pay Extra?

Any decent place will provide for vegetarians at no charge. Better places have an already prepared vegetarian option for the situation. It won't cost extra and it's quite simple. I'm veg, so is DH, and my little sister's vegan, so we're pretty versed in this.

our place said they will accommodate vegetarians at no extra cost. we estimate about 5 or so, could be more...

My place asked how many vegetarian meals I needed.... I estimated a number... they didn't charge me extra.

The halls usually include a vegetarian option. It's not going to be as glamorous as the regular meal, but I'm sure they have one.

I was thinking about booking at the Swan Club. I am a vegetarian and I actually tasted a vegetarian meal they prepared (very good). They said vegetarian meals were no problem to prepare at all... I think we met with John...

Almost all of the places we looked at included a veg. option for no extra cost.

Just call your hall & ask if they need to know in aadvance. You could do this when you give your head count, or now if you want peace of mind.
If you are doing menu cards , you can put vegetarian meal avaialable upon request, or you can at least let this friend know that is date should mentione it to the waiter, b/c even if they are prepared, they probabaly won't mention it unless asked.
