I called the Operator and she said theres nothing she can do about it What the heck do I have Caller ID for when the come up Private????? O MAN MAKES ME MAD!!! The stupid lady says take ure phone off the hook. Whats that # where u can block Private calls from coming in? *82 let me see if that works

maybe thats the one you want? I don't know, but I know for sure *82 displays private numbers (so the pranker would need to dial *82 if they still wanted to call your house once you block private #'s).

The phone company has something where you can trace it. The only thing is, whoever it is, you have to file charges.

That's so aggravating. I had a problem w/ my ex bf with that happening nearly every night at 1:30. It turned out to be his crazy ex (she would do something to come up private even though his phone does not accept private calls). I forget but call the operator, there was something you do to have it traced even if it is private.

I believe it's *87, but call the phone company - they'll tell you. I had to do this with a stalker ex of mine. The phone company traces the call (if it can be traced) and only the police can get records of the calls. You do have to let the police know it is happening and file a complaint, but they will be able to get the records from the phone company.
