I am going to take it upon myself to try to make this as drama free as possible.
For those of you who are confused...
Some of the girls on the board felt the need to start a new board to post on because there was a lot of drama going on here a few months ago. According to them, they wanted a place to come to post about different wedding things, vent, and also talk about things that were personal and didn't want to talk about on here.
In the process, these girls became good friends and began hanging out and doing things together. People have accused them of being a clique. The board was by invite only and they started to post DFZ (for Drama Free Zone) to promote no drama on the original LIW that we all love.
As time progressed posts ranting about the content of the boards here started up bashing general ideas and threads as well as specific people. A lot of people participated in these boards, but just as many didn't or tried to difuse the situation.
Around noon or so someone posted a link to the website informing all of us. The initial thread and a couple of the response threads were taken down by Kim to try to keep the peace. As a lot of arguing ensued and many of the girls were hurt. The board where all the bashing took place was also taken down, so none of the links work and you cannot find it or any of the posts anymore. Some of the information was saved, but the girls who have saved the quotes have not yet posted anything.
The 09ers Shower was canceled as a response to so many people pulling out of the shower after feeling hurt or being hurt by the secret boards. Some of the people (both guilty and innocent) are also deleting their accounts on here as well.
This thread is just to inform people of this and I will not tolerate drama on here! Please do not post nasty things, post positive things only.
I agree that it is totally not fair. I think it is petty and horrible and I'm hurt by all of this even though I didn't see anything about me on there. I just think that we shouldn't let what happened THERE ruin what happens HERE.
If you have a problem with something someone said about you. Don't fight about it here, FM that person. Let's be adults from now on.

I have to say, i was so confused for the past few days. I was gone for like a week because things were crazy around here! Now i understand what was going on.

Thanks for explaining all this stuff that has been going on, I have been so busy this last month I havn't been on here at all but I am so shocked!! I hope it doesn't put off other newbies like myself.

And to the person who seems to keep defending michelle on the whole money thing... Why the hell should she be allowed to 'keep' the money??? Shes not losing out on any money... I'm sure she can get the deposit back...
Michelle is doing the right thing by returning the money. Why should the other ladies lose $30 when a shower was being selfishly organized by the DFZ . Personally in my opinion I would only go to a shower that LIW sponsored. I had a feeling if we cooridnated this ourselves it would become messy. Asking donations from LIW vendors and now we are canceling them may reflect negative on us and they may complain to Ron and Liz and be hestiant to contribute in the future.-
Agreed...she doesnt deserve peoples money...and its not our fault she wasted her time...plenty of people offered to help her. But they wanted it to be their shower. If im not mistaken, i think the defending bride might be related tos omeone who planned the shower as well...maybe thats why she feels so badly for them.

OK i have NO idea what is going on and totally confused.. this is a WEBSITE for brides to help each other through this stressful time!!! wow Im just amazed how people take this so serious.. There are nasty people out in the world and people talk about people but on a website for weddings this is just all funny to me.. Plz dont get upset on my opinion b/c thats all it is an opinion.. But question did the shower get canceled???

the fact that people care what people they don't even know say about them is beyond me. Especially when the person hides it on another board, seriously grow up. we're all getting married here, this isn't high school anymore. if you have nothing good to say then don't say anything at all unless you're going to give constructive criticism. We're all on here for advice and opinions or just to vent. so let's enjoy it and have fun and celebrate each other's happiness.

I haven't posted in a few days, but, here's my 2 cents, then, I'm moving on. The gist of what I'm getting is, that these 'clique-y' girls were nice to all of our faces then were total b!tches with eachother behind closed doors. I'm sorry, but, I've always believed that A: If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything or B: If you don't like me, tell me to my face. Don't tell your little friends in private. Eventually, the truth will come out and you'll wish you never said anything at all. Karma IS a b!tch. I've learned that the hard way in my life.
